This Plinia specie Has been found in the transition area between Cerrado and the Caatinga near the borders between Bahia and MInas gerais State. it comes from super dry region where the dry period varies between 6 to 8 months wich makes this species super drought tolerant. it grows to 2 meters and produces small fruits reaching a maximum of 1 centimeter in diameter. Fruits taste sweet with rose water taste, a very unique taste so far in the Plinia genus.
